The absence of stillness

absence of stillness

absence of stillness~ Seoul

We live in a universe where nothing is ever still. All is moving at different speeds from the slow to the mind boggling, inconceivably fast. Even in sleep, parts of us travel, they dream, they journey into worlds unknown. In the minutest of worlds, protons and neutrons are pulsing and living.

To travel in mental faculties, in heart, in soul and in art…

Searchers along the way

We live to search and we spend our whole life looking for its meaning. I love that fact. I strive to be in the wonder of the quest itself not minding what I find or what remains a mystery. Life is filled with magic and I feel so lucky to feel it every single day. Truth is such an enigma and I wonder if we are ever meant to find it or to just dwell on the process.

She battles the snow in her unique way~ Shanghai

It seems so appropriate for the year to end and a new one to begin with a blanket of fresh snow, a clean slate, a new start. A stillness fell over the city today as more than half the population leaves for their homes away from Shanghai or to holiday destinations leaving a haunting sense of quiet and empty streets where normally life is buzzing noisily. Shanghai got its second day of snow today, it wore its beautiful white dress and it goes to sleep now getting ready for the big night tomorrow when fireworks will light the city streets.

Day 15~ June 15th~ Xinjiang

where is your playground?

To play where only earth, air, water and fire are your toys, to be chased by the wind, to chase the butterflies, to be tickled by the rays of the sun, and to become best friends with the planet you live on…

There could be no playground more ideal, and there could be no life more connected.

Dignity, the respect of self, living with total agreement and settlement to one’s self selected principles… These are some of the impressions I took with me from Xinjiang and its people. They are custodians of some qualities that are very rapidly becoming lost to our modern world. To be able to go back to basics, wouldn’t that be such a healing to us all?
