For tonight’s post, I want to talk about the unknown. And not just the unknown that is the mystery out there, but the unknown in terms of how much we actually don’t know. I had a long conversation with an old friend today, and I realized that we spend a lot of time talking about things that we think we know. But when you talk about the past and things that have happened in the past, those things no longer exist and no longer have a direct reference to the present moment.
So how can one speak from today, when talking to someone, and truly be in the present moment if all your references are in the past? It’s a strange thing to notice. And then, playfully, I asked KlingAi to create a video of what the unknown might look like, using my own imagination as the starting point. When I close my eyes and think of the unknown, what I see are swirling energies of different colors in a vast space, something that feels endless and fluid.
The unknown seems limitless and not confined to the here and now. It feels like it transcends time and space entirely. That vision is the closest I could come to describing it. Another image that appears to me is of a black hole, endlessly converging into itself, with energies moving in and out of that space without end.
I wonder what everyone else imagines when they think of the unknown. What does it look like for you?
