Today was a one of reconnecting with friends that I was never really disconnected from. Time and distance vanish at moments like these and only the value of a good relationship stands out at the end of the day.

And along the way I got to explore Industry City and Greenwood Cemetery, both places most definitely worthy of a long walk in the chill of a sunny winter day.

Day 24 of 365

Where has all the Faith Gone?

elementals-myanmarwhere-has-all-the-faith-gone-myanmarbelieving-in-magic-myanmar7582df32-b71b-42b8-a035-d85207a4890dWhere is our religion?

Is it in the temples of Asia, or the mountain churches of Lebanon, the faraway tribes of Africa, or the monasteries of tibet? Is it in mosques? Is it with soothsayers? Is it with the self proclaimed healers and seers? Is it in the holy cities of our world? Is it in the secret science labs? Do our world leaders possess it?

Or is it inside each one of us waiting to be touched?

wonderings of a searching mind…

It’s a New Time~

the illusion of planetary freedom~ Germany

growing with resolve~ Germany

As the door closes shut on one year and opens to a brand new one, we get the urge to make changes, to have a clean slate and to resolve ourselves to a set of higher standards. It is as though every time, a new permission is issued to become a better human and to raise ourselves to a finer level of human development. Like the rings inside a tree trunk, every time we make a full cycle around the sun, we get this sense of renewal.

What are your resolutions for 2016? Are they real or forced? Conventional or brand new?

Mysteries are there to drive us into dreams

in the ocean of her imagination

in the ocean of her imagination

Would we want to live in a world where all was predetermined, where nothing was hidden, where the answers were handed to us at birth? I take the search and the mystery over certainty and the unknown with its myriad of possibilities over the already known. It is in the future where all adventures lie in wait.

Day 30~ September 30th~ Tuscany

till soon sunny Tuscany

This posts ends the sunny photographic journey into Tuscany. It made me dream more than ever to go back to dwell in its artful charm. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

On to the next…

Posting from a trip, so please once again excuse my inability to respond until I am back home in Shanghai and near my computer.

I hope that you will follow the next month’s journey which will have an entirely different nature to this past one!
