Magic lives in every moment, all around us and it just waits to be captured. It’s as simple as that and when we are about to capture a moment we want to treasure, we just know it. We feel the magic as our finger presses the shutter and we just can’t wait to see the result because we are at that moment so sure that this moment was worth capturing.
On the love of photography~
Day 40 of 365~
Image taken somewhere in New York
One of the greatest fears might be to one day realize one is insignificant. To have lived a life that touched no one deeply, to not have loved passionately, to not have given for the sake of giving and not to have believed in something much greater than oneself. And scarier even than all of that is to have lived without ever meeting or knowing who we are.
Day 39 of 365~
Image taken somewhere in New York
It is quite overwhelming to think of how our lives flow continuously without any option of pausing, stopping or delaying the passage of time. The onset of the next moment is inevitable and non-negotiable. Choosing our next step, making our next decision and uttering our next word suddenly take on a whole new significance.
Day 36 of 365
Images stolen between moments
To live and not to wonder about the cause of life itself is like not having lived at all…
Why are we here? Where did we come from? Where do we go from here?
Day 34 of 365
Image is of an old friend in the forest
Some days it feels as though it is just impossible to catch up with all what we task ourselves to do. It seems as though time is standing there as a slave driver and a grim reaper screaming: “it’s later than you think”. On days like that I take a deep breath and remember that the sun also rises tomorrow.
Good night lovely people out there~
Day 33of 365
Image taken in Brooklyn
Who could have imagined that a day would come when our own advances in technology would enslave us and shut us out of the world we are anxious to know about. Screens are becoming a serious addiction for so many that we spend most of our waking hours staring into screens.
This all reminds me of a movie I saw years ago called “until the end of the world”, which haunted me for years and now today to some level I see it coming to life.
On that note, I will put away my screen and say good night.
Day 32 of 365
Images taken on the streets of New York City
Today’s dwellings are in and around time. Stories of our lives follow a time line running through today between yesterday and tomorrow. As much as we want to touch and be in tomorrow it is always out of reach today. And so is every story incomplete because time carries it through to tomorrow. The human story never really ends does it?
Day 31 of 365
Images taken on New York bridges
We can sometimes as humans feel the weight of the world as events unfold around us, shudder at the uncertainty, fear the onset of darker days on this planet, but despite it all, hope lives. Even when just a tiny spark of well-being pushes us on to defy the darkness with light, the dream of a better tomorrow never dies.
Day 30 of 365
Image taken on the Brooklyn Bridge, New York
Two fantastic workshops had, a gazillion steps walked, reconnected with old dear friends, one bagel eaten, a couple of New York slices enjoyed, new restaurants discovered, museums visited, and the awesome vibe of NYC felt…
Now I can sigh and fly home.
Day 28 of 365
About to board my plane a little richer with experience and good feelings.
How many people come from so far away to this magical island with the seeds of their hopes and dreams in their pockets hoping to grow a small beginning here among the giants… some give up and others stay and continue the search for as long as the city lets them.
Day 26 of 365
Photos taken in Dumbo
