There are moments when life feels like an intricate structure, a framework of invisible lines we live within. We move through it, step by step, day by day, often unaware of the unseen limits we place on ourselves. But then, something shifts. A crack in the familiar. A realization. A whisper in the back of our minds that asks: What lies beyond this frame?
I find myself reaching—sometimes without knowing for what. Is it higher understanding? Connection? Originality? A moment of clarity? Maybe it’s all of it. Maybe we are all just reaching, stretching beyond the familiar, toward something greater than ourselves. There is both vulnerability and power in this act. The vulnerability of not knowing what’s out there and the power of daring to extend past what feels safe.
The world changes when we reach. It bends slightly to meet our fingertips. Sometimes we touch the thing we were searching for. Other times, we brush against the unknown, leaving only the echo of movement. But either way, we are changed. We are not the same as we were before we stretched beyond the comfortable edges of our reality.
So tonight, I think about what I am reaching for. Is it something tangible or something felt? Does it even matter? Maybe what matters most is simply the act of trying—of believing that something exists beyond what I can see, and that the only way to touch it is to extend my hand and trust that it will meet me halfway.

Indeed what matters is not so much ‘what’ but ‘how’, or the simple act of reaching. A few years ago, I was looking at the waters of the Seine in front Notre-Dame and something dawned on me. What had I been looking for all my life all the way to ‘the end of the world’? In so many countries and distant travels?
As I looked up from the waters of the Seine to Notre-Dame, I understood. Beauty. I’d been looking for Beauty all over the world not realising I had it right there, in front of my eyes… I still travel, and look for Beauty, though not as intensely as before, with a more… shall we say more balanced gaze…
That’s a beautiful visual and truth. Yes, beauty is something I would travel the world for…
Happy travels Mimo.
Thank you 😊
