A brief journey back to the place I once called home~

I have have lived in several places since my birth, but only one stands out as the place that challenged me most, charmed me most and formed me most. New York City is a place I will always call home. I am so happy to go back there soon and walk in the places I used to walk for almost 16 years. The friends you make in New York are friends for life and so are the experiences. I can’t wait.

On January 27th I will be offering a half-day creative street photography workshop in New York City! Please get In touch if you are interested. All experience levels, all camera, all ages welcome 😊~

A cold world is not for me

A warm world is where I want to be, where smiles animate the stiffest of faces, where hugs disarm the most guarded of people, where trust draws out trust, and where no one will find themselves with no one to turn to on a chilly day.

Day Two Hundred Sixty One, October 10, 2011

on the same page

Have you noticed how married couples begin to look alike after some years, and how people end up resembling their pets? Spend a long time with someone and you start to borrow their laugh, facial ticks, gestures, walks, and accents; you become so close, like family. Hence the saying, “be careful with whom you mix”, as you will become like them.

I found this so endearing when I spotted these two men in a Shanghai street with their daily newspapers, totally in rhythm.
