Day One Hundred Ninety Three, August 3, 2011

[caption id="attachment_928" align="aligncenter" width="1024" caption="baby crawler"][/caption] Small things draw out our softer side. We see babies and we change our behavior immediately, we smile, we speak softly, we 'ooo' and we 'aaaa' at them. Babies and little creatures are simply so cute and we are programmed to want to care for them and protect them, most of us at least. And it is a very clever programming as you would expect from our maker for the benefit of the little people. photo taken: baby snail on Lea's palm

  1. His curious little eye-stalk antenae-feeler-things are stretched out as far as possible, exploring his world. His new-ness is so clean.

  2. I do love all of nature – but that little snail causes a visceral “yuck” reaction. Funny how that can be. It would probably be different in person. I used to love to collect teeny snails from the creek when I was a child.
