After a five-hour drive from Abu Dhabi to Muscat, Oman, the day was far from over. Upon arrival, we headed straight to the harbor and lost ourselves in the labyrinth of old streets and winding alleys of this ancient city. Muscat welcomed us with open arms, radiating its timeless essence through the people we encountered and the stories etched in their faces.
For me, exploring a new place is inseparable from being with its people. With my camera in hand, I step closer—closer to their world and closer to myself. In these moments, I am wholly present. My mind clears, and I find myself immersed in what can only be described as a state of 'Flow.' Time ceases to exist, and life becomes a canvas of spontaneity and beauty.
As a photographer, this is when I truly begin to 'see.' In the midst of the city's bustling energy, clarity emerges. Scenes materialize from the chaos; portraits seem to call out, waiting to be captured. It’s a joyful dance, a kind of play that I never want to end because it brings me so much fulfillment.
Today was a gift—a day spent in a new place and in a fresh creative headspace. Each frame I captured felt like a small drop of magic, adding to the growing jar of gold that represents my creative journey.
Muscat has left its mark on me. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Good night from this enchanting city.
