In Search of Stillness~

There are days when everything feels like a wave—too much, too fast, too loud. Lately, more and more, I’ve found myself wondering: where is the silence beneath the noise? The image above, taken during an immersive exhibition, feels like a visual metaphor for this moment in time. A small human figure dwarfed by light, space, and unknown forms. That’s what life feels like sometimes. A solitary search for clarity in a tunnel of overstimulation.

It’s not just the external noise—technology, notifications, endless news cycles, the cascade of social media impressions. It’s also the inner current: thoughts swirling faster than they used to, questions forming quicker than answers, even dreams coming in more vividly, giving little rest through the night.

Everything is accelerating.

And in that acceleration, it becomes easy to freeze. To stand still like the figure in the image, unsure whether to go forward or retreat. But maybe that pause, that moment of stillness, is exactly where the clarity waits. Not in doing more, but in allowing a moment to breathe. To truly breathe.

Because we’re not machines, and we were never designed to run endlessly. We’re sensory beings, emotional, intuitive, and full of complexity. We need spaces where we can stop. We need dim corridors, circles of light, and long shadows to remind us that clarity often comes not from pushing forward, but from standing still long enough to see what truly matters.

So tonight, I allow myself to pause. To feel the weight of this day, and to let it fall away, even if only for a moment.
