As I write this, I’m still at the airport, fresh off the flight from Rome and not quite sure what time I’ll make it home tonight. It’s been a long few days, and I wanted to catch this moment before it slips away.
On a lighter note—and with apologies to Miyazaki—I’ve been playing with some Ghibli-style AI generations lately. I know he’s not thrilled about these interpretations going viral online, but I must say, I’m fascinated by how fast OpenAI can create them. There’s something humorous and light-hearted about seeing yourself reimagined in this dreamy aesthetic.
Rome was intense. Three days that felt like a marathon of sights, sounds, and sensations. I tried, as always, to see more than I probably should have in such a short time. Between the exhibition, the opening, the artist talk, and the beautiful people I met along the way, it was an enriching experience.
But nothing compares to the moment of coming home. Everyone who travels knows this feeling—the comfort of familiar walls, of slipping under your own sheets, of exhaling into the silence of your own space. As much as I love the road, I equally cherish the return.
Thank you, Rome. And thank you, home.

(I use AI. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn.t) All are tools.
