Day 19~ May 19th~ Cambodia

playing at home

Her little home is built on stilts, her bed is a mattress on the floor, her feet are bare, her dreams are of faraway places,  her toy is a red balloon, she holds on to it for dear life…

  16. We should feel lucky with whatever we have, and at the same time do something for those who needs a better future. A very good picture, Mimo, but she is a sad girl, at least at that moment.

  17. What a beautiful picture. She is an angel.
in context with the photograph and the simplicity of it…my wife recently visited a home of what a market research person would term low income group. She was taken aback with the ‘smallness’ of their house, with almost everything except for a bath in one small room…and yet during her interview, she realized how content the family was. When I heard her experience, I told her that people should consider themselves lucky with whatever they have, and most hold onto their most precious moments rather than chasing other people’s dreams! I am sure that the girl cherishes this lone friend of hers…

  18. powerful image…the light in this image is captivating.
